7 Connecting with a USB cable

Use the separately sold specialized USB cable (PD79920-0S).

1 Turn off the power to the printer and the device to be connected.

2 Insert the connector of the cable straight into the USB port on the

printer.

* Make the connection being careful about the orientation of the connector. Trying to

connect the cable forcibly causes accidents.

3 Connect the other end of the cable to the USB port on the device to

be connected.

If the connection is done using a USB cable, select USB interface in Interface Selection

Mode.

4 Turn on the power to the printer and the connected device.
